Christopher Robert “Chris” Michael
GIBSONVILLE — Christopher Robert “Chris” Michael, 30, of 6653 Cotton Road, died on Thursday, July 3, 2003 in a construction accident.
He is a native of Guilford County and the son of the late David Gwean Michael and Patsy Hodgin Michael who survives. Chris was the Owner and Operator of Michael’s Backhoe, Inc. and CRM Services, Inc.
He was a member of Friedens Lutheran Church, an avid Softball player on various teams, and hunter and NASCAR fan. He enjoyed helping his father David on their Christmas Tree Farm in Meadows of Dan, Virginia.
Survivors include his wife, Meredith Teague Michael of the home; infant son, Landon Christopher Michael of the home; mother, Patsy Hodgin Michael of Gibsonville; brothers, Brian Michael and Adam Michael of Gibsonville; maternal grandfather, Ralph Hodgin of Greensboro; paternal grandmother, Helen Greeson Michael of Gibsonville. Preceded in death by his father, David Gwean Michael; maternal grandmother, Frances Hodgin and paternal grandfather, Glenn Eugene Michael.
The funeral will be held on Tuesday, July 8, 2003 at 2:00 PM at the Apple’s Chapel Christian Church by Rev. C. Allen Myers, III, Rev. Dave Gilbert and Rev. Lee H. Bristol, III. Burial will follow at Alamance Memorial Park.
