Colene Frye Jester
Mrs. Colene Frye Jester, 90, of Burlington, passed away on Saturday, November 24, 2018 at Alamance Regional Medical Center.
A native of Surry County, NC, she was the wife of the late Carl Wesley Jester and the daughter of George Thomas Frye and Ida Lashmit Frye, both deceased. She was a retired textile worker and a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Burlington.
Survivors include one son, Winston Scott Jester of Mebane; one granddaughter, Katrina Noelle Jester of Chillicothe, Ohio; one sister, Juanita Wall of Graham; and one brother, John Frye and wife Sandra of Fletcher, NC. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Donniece Turney and Deloria Parrott; and three brothers, George T. Frye, Jr., Richard Lee Frye, and Leroy Frye.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, November 28, 2018 at the Rich and Thompson Chapel in Burlington with Rev. Boyd Pickard officiating. Burial will follow at Alamance Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 12:45 – 1:45 PM prior to the service at Rich and Thompson Funeral and Cremation Service in Burlington.
