ELON — Rachel Lucille Ingold Wilson, 77, died Sunday, Nov. 28, 2010, at Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center of Alamance after several months of failing health.
A native of Guilford County, she was the daughter of the late Gurley Monroe Ingold and the late Elizabeth Hicks Ingold.
She was married for over 36 years to the late James Richard Wilson.
Rachel retired from Lemco Mills and was of the Baptist faith. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
Rachel is survived by her daughter, Cheryl Loy and her husband, Dean, of Elon; and two grandchildren, Amber Petty and her fiancé, Edward Lewis, of Gibsonville, and Chance Dean Loy of Elon.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and 12 siblings.
There will be a graveside service on Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2010, at 2 p.m. at Alamance Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends other times at the home of Cheryl Loy, 1758 Gibsonville–Ossipee Road, Elon. Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory are in charge of the arrangements. You may sign the online register book at
