OBITUARIES Woffard  Samuel "Sam" Freeman 
    BURLINGTON — Woffard  Samuel "Sam" Freeman , 70, of 727 Hunington Court, died Sept. 10, 2005, at UNC Hospital.
    He was the owner of Sam’s Texaco on North Church Street for 23 years.
    Survivors include his wife, Mary Ruth Baker Freeman ; a daughter, Linda Trollinger and husband Tony; a son, Sammy Freeman ; brothers, Bobby Freeman  and wife Shirley, and Charles Freeman  and wife Mary Jane; sisters, Betty Ham and husband Danny, and Jerline Wilson and husband William; and three grandchildren.
    He was preceded in death by his parents, Ruth Nash Freeman  and Leonard Samuel Freeman ; brothers, Jimmy Freeman  and Eddie Freeman ; and one granddaughter.
    The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 14, 2005, at McClure Funeral Chapel in Graham. Burial will be in Alamance Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday.
