Mrs. Elizabeth  "Libby" Stafford 


    GIBSONVILLE — Mrs. Elizabeth  "Libby" Stafford , 34, died Thursday, Feb. 7, 2008, at Moses Cone Hospital.
    Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, at Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Mike Goode and the Rev. Bill Gibson officiating. Burial will be at Friedens Lutheran Church Cemetery at a later date.
    Mrs. Stafford  was born in Greensboro to Billy Ellington and Nancy Jinnette Ellington. She was employed by Moses Cone Hospital and was a member of Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church. She was very active with her church and her daughters’ Girl Scout Troop. She was a devoted and loving, wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend.

    Mrs. Stafford  is survived by her husband, Jeff Stafford ; daughter, MacKenzie; son, Ethan; mother, Nancy Ellington; father, Billy Ellington and wife Sandy, all of Greensboro; mother-in-law, Joyce Allen and husband Carl of Gibsonville; father-in-law, Don Stafford  and wife Cheryl of Williamsburg, Va.; grandfather, Guy Ellington of Greensboro; stepgrandfather, Vic Zdanowica; sisters, Melissa Brackin and husband Chip of Greensboro, Nita Souther and husband Chris of High Point; step-sister-in-law, Kristie Daugherty and husband Chuck of Newport News, Va.; step-brothers-in-law, Dave Campbell and wife Kathleen of New York, Scott Campbell and wife Kelly of Newport News, Va.; nieces, Chelsea, Kaitlin, Sydney, Erin, and Carley; nephews, Patrick, Alex, Joey, Jonathan, and Josh; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and church families.
    Memorials may be made to the MacKenzie and Ethan Stafford  Education Fund, Gibsonville Community Bank, P.O. Box 107, Gibsonville, N.C. 27249.
