BURLINGTON — Dora Snead Wright , age 85, of 4525 Regulator Drive, Burlington, passed away at 1:40 p.m. Monday, August 15, 2005 at Alamance Regional Medical Center.
A native of Caswell County, she was wife of the late Howard Abner Wright , and daughter of the late Thomas Lancelot and Vergie Parrott Snead . Mrs. Wright was a retired employee of Kayser Roth, I-85 plant and attended Ireland Street Chapel.
Survivors include two daughters, Mary Deane McKee and husband, Don, of the home and Gayle Miller and husband, Dennis, of Burlington; three grandchildren, Robin Jones, Brad McKee and Anthony Miller; one great-grandchild, Krista Jones; and one sister, Katie Schomel of Panama City, Fla. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; three brothers, Howard Hawker, Pat Snead and Berkley Snead ; four sisters, Emma Cox, Ethel Thomas, Elizabeth Murray and Edna Edwards.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, August 18, 2005 from the Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Larry Batts. Interment will follow in Concord Christian Church cemetery. Mrs. Wright will remain at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory through the funeral service. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:30 to 1:45 p.m. Thursday, prior to the funeral service. 3, Dora Snead Wright
