October 26, 1946 ~ January 29, 2022 (age 75)
Gayle Wright Miller, 75, of Burlington, passed away peacefully the morning of Saturday, January 29, 2022 at the AuthoraCare Hospice Home in Burlington with her husband by her side.
A native of Alamance County, she was the daughter of the late Howard A. Wright and the late Dora Snead Wright.
She was preceded in death by a son, Anthony Broughton Miller.
She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Dennis Broughton Miller, of the home, her daughter, Robin Jones and her husband Danny; step-daughter Cindy Long and her husband Don; grandson, Preston Broughton Miller and his mother Brandy Marchisello; granddaughters, Krista Otero, Ashton Long Smith and Jordan Long; great-grandchild, Shandi Otero; and her sister, Mary McKee and nephew Brad McKee (who was like a second son).
Gayle was an independent insurance agent specializing in Personal and Property Insurance.
She worked with several Independent agencies and later operating her own agency.
Gayle was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed listening to music with her son as he grilled out often. Many knew her for baking pound cakes (Martha Lineberry’s) recipe, cheesecakes, and toll-house cookies. No one had a birthday without receiving one of those. Watching her children and grandchildren grow up made her the happiest and held each one close to her heart.
A special thank you to AuthoraCare Collective Hospice for their care of Gayle in her last days and providing comfort to the family during visits.
