BURLINGTON — Mr. Don Lindley Gilliam, 69, of Burlington died at the Hospice and Palliative Care Center of Alamance-Caswell on Wednesday, September 22, 2010 at 4 a.m.
Mr. Gilliam was born in Surry County, N.C. and shortly thereafter moved to the Burlington area where he spent the rest of his life. He was the husband of Rozanne Euliss Gilliam, who survives, and the son of Junius Wesley Gilliam and Pearl Lindley Gilliam, both deceased. He retired from The Tire Center of Burlington and was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.
In addition to his wife of the home, survivors include two daughters, Kim Gilliam and Lori Gilliam, both of Burlington; three brothers, Wesley Gilliam and wife Havoline, Steve Gilliam and wife Margaret and Ralph Gilliam and wife Nancy, all of Elon.
A memorial service will be conducted at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church on Saturday, September 25, 2010 at 1 p.m. by the Rev. Nathan Hooks.
The family will receive friends at the Rich &Thompson Funeral and Cremation Service in Burlington on Friday from 6 until 8 p.m. At other times they will be at the residence.
