James W. “Bill” Freshwater
GRAHAM — Mr. James
W. “Bill” Freshwater, 86, of Graham died at Alamance Regional Medical Center on Tuesday, December 15, 2015, at 1:16 a.m.
A native of Alamance County, he was the husband of the late Dorothy H. “Dot” Freshwater and son of Hubert Alexander Freshwater and Cynthia Coble Freshwater, both deceased. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army serving during the Korean Conflict. He was a retired truck driver with Burlington Industries for many years.
Survivors include a son, Tim Freshwater of Graham; three stepsons, Gary Deese and wife Alice of Swepsonville, Billy Deese and Buddy Deese, both of Mebane; granddaughter, Kimberly Morrison and husband Jason of Graham; two greatgrandchildren; several step-grandchildren; several great-stepgrandchildren; a sister, Julia Thomas; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a brother, H. A. “Steve” Freshwater and two stepgrandsons, Troy Deese and Dustin Deese.
The funeral service will be conducted at the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Graham on Friday, December 18, 2015, at 3 p.m. by the Rev. Jane Almon with the family receiving friends from 1:30 to 3 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Mt. Hermon United Methodist Church Cemetery. Other times the family will be at the residence.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the doctors and staff at Alamance Regional Medical Center for their special care given to Mr. Freshwater.
