Mr. Roy Neal Moore Jr.
GREENSBORO — Mr. Roy Neal Moore, Jr., 51, a resident of Greensboro, died Monday, October 20, 2003 at his home after a brief illness. Mr. Moore was born in Alamance County, son of the late Roy Neal Moore, Sr. and Kathryn Somers Moore of Winston-Salem.
Neal graduated from Mt. Tabor High School, class of 1970; received his BBA Degree from Campbell College, class of 1974, and his Associate in Arts Degree from Brevard College, class of 1973. Neal was president of Moore-Taylor and Associates, Real Estate Appraisal Company of Greensboro. Neal held the distinguished designation of MAI/SRA in his field of profession. Some of the consulting assignments included acquisition/disposition, market studies of various metropolitan areas, investment analyses, ad Valorem tax consultation, and various types of condemnation proceedings all completed in North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Mississippi and Virginia. He was a designated member of Senior Residential Appraiser, Piedmont North Carolina Sub-Chapter of the Appraisal Institute, Candidate Guidance Chairman 1988 and 1989, Treasurer in 1990, first vice president, 1991 and president, 1992. He was also a member of MAI, the Appraisal Institute, North Carolina Chapter. Offices held include Member of the Board of Directors 1992-1999 and Regional Representative 1992-1999, active member of Experience Review Committee, member of the Greensboro Board of Realtors, and was a licensed Real Estate Broker in North Carolina, State certified General Real Estate Appraiser in North Carolina and South Carolina.
Neal is survived by his wife of 24 years, Shirley H. Moore of the home; his mother, Kathryn Somers Moore of Winston-Salem; two sisters, Mrs. Lilli Ambro and her husband, Darrell, their son, Shane and daughter, Eva of Greensboro; and Mrs. Jane Hinckley and her husband, Paul; son, Andrew and daughters, Kathryn and Leslie Campbell of Hampton, VA.
On Saturday, October 25, 2003 a memorial service will be held at 11:00 am at Centenary United Methodist Church, 5 th Street, Winston-Salem.
The family will greet friends immediately following the service.
