Mrs. Lela Holyfield Hardy
    GIBSONVILLE — Mrs. Lela Holyfield Hardy, 90, of 8198 Troxler Mill Rd., died Friday, October 24, 2003, at Moses Cone Hospital. She was the wife to Thurman Oscar Hardy and the daughter to the late Charlie and Ida Wood Holyfield. She was a homemaker and a member of Bethlehem Christian Church.
    Survivors include her husband of the home, a daughter; Betty S. Hardy of Gibsonville, a son; Allen Lester Hardy of Elon, a sister; Molly Bee Rich of Whitsett, brothers; Floyd Holyfield of Winston Salem, Howard Holyfield of Pittsboro, Richard Holyfield of Greensboro, five grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her sisters; Dorothy Myers, Mary Lou Wells and a brother; Garland Holyfield.
    The funeral will be 2:00 P.M. Monday, October 27, 2003 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Dave Gilbert. Interment will follow in Alamance Memorial Park.
    The family will receive friends 4-6 P.M. Sunday at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. and at other times at the home of Betty Hardy, 8196 Troxler Mill Rd.
    In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Marvin Wallace Scholarship Fund, % Bethlehem Christian Church, 3625 Altamahaw Church St., Elon, NC 27244.3, Mrs. Lela Holyfield Hardy
