OBITUARIES Paul Victor Scheetz Jr.
Elon, NC — A Comrade in Arms has departed. Paul Victor Scheetz, Jr. of 107 Oakview Drive died November 29, 2003, at the Hospice Home after a seven-year battle with Parkinson’s Disease.
A Memorial Service will be held at 6 pm, Tuesday, December 2, at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends following the service.
Paul was born in Quakertown, Bucks County, PA, on March 3, 1931, the son of Paul Victor Scheetz, Sr. and the late Viola Heffendrayer Scheetz. He was both a Korean War and Vietnam veteran, retiring as a captain in the Marine Corps after 21 years.
He received B.A. and M.Ed. degrees from North Carolina State University where he also pursued post-graduate courses. He retired from Alamance Community College as Director of Cooperative Education.
He is survived by his wife, Ruby; sons, Timothy Scheetz of Siler City and Todd Scheetz of Elon; grandchildren, Jonathan, Torie, and Taylor Scheetz; and father, Paul Victor Scheetz, Sr. of Quakertown, PA.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions should be made to the Hospice Home, 918 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, NC 27215, or to Alamance Community College, P.O. Box 8000, Graham, NC 27253.
