ELON — Ruby Harold Scheetz, 84, passed away Tuesday, March 29, 2016, at Blakey Hall following several years of failing health.
She was the wife of the late Paul Victor Scheetz Jr. and daughter of the late Fogle and Vergie Bowman Harold.
Ruby retired from the Employment Security Commission office in Burlington after more than 20 years of service. She found great personal satisfaction helping people find jobs. Ruby enjoyed spending time at beach with her husband and family, especially her grandchildren.
Survivors include her sons, Todd (Terry) Scheetz of Elon, Timothy (Pam) Scheetz, D.D.S. of Siler City; grandchildren, Jonathan Scheetz, Torie (Doug) Fields, Taylor Scheetz; a great- granddaughter, Lynnleigh Fields; brothers, Oklas Harold and Dennis Ray Harold.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; and a brother, Mangle Harold.
The celebration of her life will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, April 1, 2016, in the Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Daryl Lewis. The family will receive friends following the service.
The family would like to thank her neighbors, and the staff and friends of Blakey Hall for their love and support.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Remember Alzheimer’s NC, 1305 Navaho Drive, Suite 101, Raleigh, NC 27609.
