William L. “Billy” Allred


Mr. William L. “Billy” Allred, 73, of Burlington and formerly of Graham passed away at Alamance Regional Medical Center on Thursday, August 22, 2019 at 2:15 a.m.
The family will receive friends at the Fellowship Hall of Glen Raven Baptist Church on Friday, August 23, 2019 from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. and also at Rich & Thompson Funeral and Cremation Service in Burlington on Saturday, August 24, 2019 from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m.


The funeral service will be conducted at the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Burlington on Sunday, August 25, 2019 at 2:30 p.m. by Rev. Bobby Fann. Burial will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery.

Mr William L. "Billy" Allred

APRIL 11, 1946 ~ AUGUST 22, 2019 (AGE 73)

Mr. William L. “Billy” Allred, 73, of Burlington and formerly of Graham passed away at Alamance Regional Medical Center on Thursday, August 22, 2019 at 2:15 a.m.

A native of Alamance County, he was the husband of Lynda Howell Allred, who survives and the son of Joseph Tennon Allred and Edna Miles Allred, both deceased. Mr. Allred retired as a Water and Waste Water Supervisor from the City of Graham with 32 years of service. He was a member of the Burlington Shag Club. Since 1982, Billy has been a member of Glen Raven Baptist Church where he served as Deacon and Choir Director and also taught Sunday School for several years.

In addition to his wife of their home, survivors include his constant companion, Zoe and four sisters, Doris Hyder, Betty Moody and Peggy Faucette and husband Phil, all of Burlington and Frankie Sartin and husband Earl of Morehead City. He was preceded in death by a son, William Barry Allred; sister, Ruby Hall; and three brothers, Jim Allred, Bobby Allred and Pete Allred.

The family will receive friends at Rich & Thompson Funeral and Cremation Service in Burlington on Saturday, August 24, 2019 from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m.
