OBITUARIES Elma Walker Rascoe
BURLINGTON — Elma Walker Rascoe, 85, of 309 Trail One, a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother, died at 3:06 a.m. Friday, March 12, 2004, at her home after an extended illness.
A native of Alamance County, she was the wife of the late Clarence Levi Rascoe, and the daughter of the late James Monroe Walker and Ella Trollinger Walker. She was a homemaker and was a member of the First Christian United Church of Christ.
Survivors include two daughters, Betty Jo Loy and husband, Dan, of Burlington and Kathy Bradham and husband, Doug, of Baltimore, Md.; a son, Eddie Rascoe and wife, Susan, of Burlington; three sisters-in-law, Mrs. James (Irene) Walker, Mrs. Clyde (Iris) Walker, and Mrs. William (Lillian) Bowland, all of Burlington; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and five stepgrandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 14, 2004, at the McClure Funeral Home Chapel in Graham by the Rev. Judy Westman. Burial will be in Alamance Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends at the McClure Funeral Home in Graham from 6 to 8 this evening, and at other times at the residence.
