Mildred Lee Hutcherson Ellington
   ALEXANDRIA, Va.– Mildred Lee Hutcherson Ellington, age 85, died at Arden Courts in Annandale, Va., on Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2012.

   She was born on Jan. 1, 1927 in Martinsville, Va., to the late Rev. Harvey Lee Hutcherson and Alva Dillon Hutcherson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frederick Merion Ellington; and brother, Alvin “Junior” Harvey Hutcherson

   She was a member of Grove Park Baptist Church for a few years before moving to Alexandria, Va. Mildred and Merion Ellington were long time members of Burlington First Church of the Nazarene where they dedicated their time to serving their church community. Mildred and Merion both loved working in the church, and loved their church family and friends. Both were proud parents and grandparents and loved their family dearly.

   She retired from Kayser-Roth Hosiery in 1981 after 20 years of service.

   She is survived by her daughter, Phyllis Ellington, two granddaughters,

   Lisa Staubs of Austin,Tx.,and Amy Staubs of Alexandria, Va.; and one brother, Glenn M. Hutcherson and his wife, Emmogene of Graham, N.C.

   The viewing will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 4 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel followed by the celebration of her life at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in Alamance Memorial Park.
