Warren Harold "Hal" Swangin, Jr.

Warren Harold "Hal" Swangin, Jr., 78, of Whitsett passed away on Saturday, July 25, 2026 at AuthoraCare Hospice Home.
A native of Alamance County, he was a dedicated family man and a beloved member of the community.
He was the husband of Tracy Blanchard Swangin for 57 years, who survives and the son of Warren Harold Swangin, Sr., and Leta Linens Swangin Boswell, both deceased.
He retired from the 3M company where he excelled as a sales representative, leaving a lasting impact on both his colleagues and clients through his unwavering commitment and professionalism.
Beyond his professional achievements, Hal devoted 24 years to volunteering at Amber’s House of Dance, where he served as a carpenter, electrician, plumber and prop builder. His creative talents helped transform the studio, and he was known as the biggest cheerleader for Amber and her dancers, always encouraging and supporting them.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter Amber McKirgan (husband Brandon); two grandchildren, Colt (9) and Tanner (7) McKirgan; and his cousin Steve Swangin.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Thursday, July 30, 2026, at 7:00pm in the Rich and Thompson Chapel in Burlington. The family will welcome friends at the visitation from 5:00-6:45pm prior to the service.
There will be a private family burial.
Hal is remembered for his kindness, generosity, and the joy he brought to everyone around him. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege to know him.
