GIBSONVILLE - Malinda “Linda” Blanche Mitchell Gerringer 83, entered Heaven January 25 while at Brookdale Memory Care. She was born in Burlington January 23, 1939 to the late Joe Thomas Jr. and Alma Hinton Mitchell. She was a longtime member of Friedens Lutheran Church and was employedWith GNC Nutrition for many years.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Gary H. Scoggins and second husband John H. Gerringer, a brother Joe T. “Tommy “Mitchell III, a son Gary Charles Scoggins and a grandson Gary Lee Scoggins.
Surviving are a daughter Renea Cobb (Bryan) of Greensboro; a brother Michael H. Mitchell (Margaret) of Burlington. Two very special friends Annabelle Cash and Carolyn Smith.
A funeral service will be conducted 1:00 PM Friday January 28, 2022 at Friedens Lutheran Church with Rev. Bill Zima officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
The family requests that memorials be made to Friedens Lutheran Church, 6001 NC Hwy 61 North Gibsonville, NC 27249 or Hospice of the Piedmont 1801Westchester Dr. High Point, NC 27262.
