 BURLINGTON — Mrs. Alma Sue Cardella, 87, died at Transitions Life Care in Raleigh on Monday, May 2, 2016, at 7:50 a.m.
 
 A native of Caswell County, she was the wife of the late William Nicholas Cardella and the daughter of Ira Samuel Stanfield and Fannie Page Stanfield, both deceased. She was a former bookkeeper for E.M. Holt Manufacturing, a former coordinator with Alamance County Meals-on-Wheels and a talented artist. Alma was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church and former librarian for Blessed Sacrament Catholic School.
 
 Survivors include two sons, Dominic Cardella and wife Denise and Craig Cardella and wife Jill, all of Cary; three grandchildren, Allison Conway and husband Chris, Phillip Cardella and Lauren Cardella; and one sister, Inez Robertson.
 
 She was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters.
 
 The funeral service will be conducted in the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Burlington on Friday, May 6, 2016, at 2 p.m. by the Rev. Briant Cullinane and the Rev. Richard Myers with the family receiving friends from 12:45 to 1:45 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will follow in Baynes Baptist Church cemetery. A reception will follow the burial in Baynes Baptist Church Fellowship Hall.
