EARL E. TERRELL
Earl Elen Terrell, 49, of Rt. 7, Burlington, died yesterday morning in a local hospital following five months of illness and two weeks of critical illness.
A native of Caswell County, he was the son of the late John Oscar terrell and Mrs. Ester Jackson Terrell of Efland, who survives.
Mr. Terrell, who retired about five months ago from employment at Copland Fabrics Inc., was the husband of Thelma Long Terrell of the home, who survives.
He was a member of Beverly Hills United Church of Christ.
Other survivors include one son, Richard Terrell of Burlington; five brothers, Devoy Terrell of Cleveland, Tenn.; Ervin Terrell of Efland; Joe Terrell of Mebane; Herbert Terrell of Mt. Holly; and Henry Terrell of Burlington; and two grandchildren.
Final rites will be held 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at Beverly Hills United Church of Christ.
The service will be conducted by the Rev. Kenneth Register, pastor, assisted by the Rev. Curtis Oakley, pastor of Riverside Baptist Church.
Burial will be in Alamance Memorial Park.
The body will remain at Lowe Funeral Home in Burlington until placed in the church to lie in state 30 minutes before the service.
The family will be at the funeral home to receive visitors from 7 to 9 o'clock tonight.
