 BURLINGTON — Mrs. Berthalene Ward McKinney, 91, of Old Trail Rd., Burlington, passed away at 11:10 PM, Saturday, October 25, 2014, at her residence.
 
 A native of Randolph County, she was the wife of the late Malloy McKinney and the daughter of the late John and Bertha Burgess Ward. She was retired from the textile industry. Mrs. McKinney was a member of Shiloh Presbyterian Church and a former member of Northside Presbyterian Church where she was a member of the Choir and numerous committees. Bert was a Pink Lady for 35 years at Alamance Regional Medical Center, a volunteer for Meals On Wheels, and a member of Lady Lions. She was an accomplished seamstress and loved gardening.
 
 Surviving are a daughter, Sandra McKinney Harris and husband Gwyn of N. Myrtle Beach, SC; a son, Danny McKinney and wife Holly of Durham; four grandchildren, Ryan Harris and wife Erin of Roanoke, VA, Marc Harris and wife Jane of Saunderstown, RI, Jordan McKinney of Durham and Lauren McKinney of Durham; four great grandchildren, Mason and MacKenzie Harris of Roanoke, VA, and Elena and Jude Harris of Saunderstown, RI; as well as many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by a special neighbor
 
and friend, Bonnie Albright and her family; and caregiver, Judy Corbett.
 
 Funeral
 
services will be held 11:00 AM, Wednesday, October 29, at Shiloh Presbyterian Church with Rev. Carl Parsons officiating. Burial will follow at Alamance Memorial Park.
 
 The family will receive friends at Rich & Thompson Funeral & Cremation Service in Burlington from 5-7 PM, Tuesday evening.
 
 The family would like to thank Mrs. McKinney’s doctors and nurses at Alamance Regional Medical Center for their care and support.
