March 1, 1945 ~ May 23, 2024 (age 79)
Shirley Cox Haith was born March 1, 1945 to Roy L. Cox and Ruby Lloyd Cox.
Shirley was a very kind, loving, and caring person. She loved attending church and her church family. She enjoyed traveling, working in her yard, whether it be planting flowers or growing a garden. She loved animals of all kinds.
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, Roy L. Cox Sr and Ruby Lloyd Cox. The love of her life for over 60 years, David Haith Sr, and her son David Haith Jr.
Shirley is survived by her brother, Roy L. Cox Jr. (Linda); her son, Steven Haith; daughter in-law, Tracy Haith (David Haith Jr.); granddaughters, Sara Haith-Smith, Jessica Haith (Dee) and Amy Elkins (Jared). Four great grandchildren, Corbin Smith, Daylin Smith, Peyton Elkins and Adley Elkins. One great great grandchild, Spencer Smith and her beloved fur baby, Ella.
Shirley's family would like to thank everyone that took time out of their day to share posts and that drove around trying to locate her.
A special thank you to the Orange County Sheriff's Department for all of their hard work.
A graveside service will be held at 2pm on Wednesday June 5, 2024 at Mt Zion Christian Church Cemetery. [20814]

David Lindy Haith, 89, passed away at home on December 31, 2021.
He was the son of the late Levi Walter Haith and Mary Mae Holt Haith.
Other than his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers, George, and Ernest Haith.
Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Shirley Haith; sons, David Haith Jr.(Tracy) and Steve Haith; sisters, Lillian Sanders, Ida Haithcock, and Ann Hall; a brother, Walter Haith; grandchildren, Sara Smith, Jessica Haith and Amy Haith; great-grandchildren, Corbin Smith, Daylin Smith, Peyton Elkins, and Adley Elkins; and great-great-grandchildren, Spencer Smith and Carter Wills.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 5, 2022, from 5-7 at McClure Funeral Service in Mebane, other times they will be at the home of his sister Ann Hall. A funeral service will be held at 1 pm on Thursday, January 6, 2022, in the McClure Funeral Chapel in Mebane. Burial will follow in Mt. Zion Christian Church Cemetery.
