Hazel "Susie" Jean Rudd Jefferson
Hazel “Susie” Jefferson, 77, of Reidsville, passed away on Wednesday, January 11, 2023 at the Hospice Home in Burlington.
A native of Caswell County, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Jefferson Rudd and Esther Apple Rudd.
Susie attended Pleasant View Assembly of God Church in Reidsville and worked for 35 years at Glen Raven Mills until her retirement. Spending time with her family was a very important part of life.
She is survived by daughters, Deanna Jenkins (Jim) and Carol Delane White (Torpey). Grandchildren: Wesley Jenkins, Lauren Jenkins, Collen Shenk (Peter), Torpey White and Kaylan White. Sisters: Patricia Norris, Anita Walker, Estherena Wilson, Belinda Jones and Melody Jenkins.
She was preceded in death by Husbands: Eugene Wesley Smith (father of children) and William Jefferson. Siblings: Arthur Rudd, Billy Rudd, Harold Rudd, Sonja Rudd, Jeffrey Rudd and Ricky Rudd.
A funeral service will be held at 12 o’clock noon on Saturday, January 14, 2023 at Pleasant View Assembly of God Church with the burial to follow at Bush Arbor Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 10:45 – 11:45 prior to the funeral at the church.
