Thomas Arthur Rudd, 81, of Graham passed away at the AuthoraCare Hospice Home on Saturday, May 28, 2022.
A native of Alamance County, he was the husband of Brenda Fay Rudd and the son of the late Thomas Jefferson Rudd and the late Esther Apple Rudd.
Arthur was owner and operator of Rudd’s Drywall Construction Company for over 40 years. He loved horses and enjoyed going to horse sales, wagon trains, parades and stock markets. He loved and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
In addition to his wife of their home, survivors include his grandchildren, Marty Dean Rudd, Jr. (Amanda), Kimberly Byrd Allison (Marty) and Brittany Byrd O’Dell (Johnathon); great-grandchildren, Brayden & Bryant Allison and Levi Sawyer Rudd; son-in-law, Boyd Byrd, Jr.; and sisters, Patricia Norris, Hazel “Susie” Jefferson, Belinda Jones, Melody Jenkins (Fred), Anita Denny and Estherene Wilson.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Michelle Rudd Byrd; son, Marty Dean Rudd, Sr.; and several sisters & brothers.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Thursday, June 2, 2022 at the Rich & Thompson Funeral Home in Graham. At other times, they will be at the residence of his son-in-law, Boyd Byrd, Jr.
His funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 am on Friday, June 3, 2022 at the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Graham by Rev. Mike Jones.
