Mr. Billy  Victor Ray  Sr.


    BURLINGTON — Mr. Billy  Victor Ray  Sr., 75, of 2935 Amherst Ave., Burlington, passed away Sunday, November 25, 2007, at Alamance Regional Medical Center following a brief illness. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather, which we were so blessed to have in our lives.
    A native of Orange County, he was the husband of Mary Lou Ray  and son of the late Marybelle Ray . Mr. Ray  was an electrician with the IBEW Local 553, and a member of Trinity Worship Center. He was a veteran of the U. S. Navy and U.S. Army.
    Survivors other than his wife of the home, are a son, Billy  Victor Ray  Jr. and wife, Melissa, of Burlington; a daughter, Cynthia Elizabeth Swamp and husband, Steve, of Apex, N.C.; a brother, Tommy Dunnagan and wife, Pat, of Burlington; a sister, Judi Lowder and husband, Newman, of Burlington; and four grandchildren, David Ray  and Brandon Ray  both of Atlanta, Ga., Becky Ray  of Burlington, and Jonathan Ray of Savannah, Ga. He was preceded in death by his mother; and a daughter, Sandra Ray .
    Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2007, at Trinity Worship Center with the Rev. Darrell Cox and Dr. James Gardner officiating. Burial will follow at Alamance Memorial Park.
    The family will receive friends at the Rich & Thompson Mortuary in Burlington from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, and at other times at the residence.
    Memorials may be made to Trinity Worship Center, 3157 S. Church St., Burlington, N.C. 27215.
