Lonzie Edmond  "Jack" Foster  Jr.


    ELON — Lonzie Edmond  "Jack" Foster  Jr., 78, of 1432 N.C. 87 North, died Friday, Feb. 16, 2007, at Duke University Medical Center after a sudden illness. He was born in Alamance County, son of the late Lonzie Edmond Foster  Sr. and the late Myrtle Dodson Foster . Jack was married for over 53 years to Helen Holt Foster , who survives. He was owner and operator of Foster  Lumber Company until retiring and then owned and operated Foster  Lamp Repair Shop. He was a member of New Hope Baptist Church.
    In addition to his wife of the home, he is survived by one daughter, Dr. Sharon (Dr. Tony) Hinson of Concord; a sister, Dorothy (Bill) Stanfield of Elon and a nephew, Bobby (Georgine) Foster  of Elon. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Bruce Foster .
    The funeral service will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Randy Hobbs. Burial will follow at Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 12:45 until 1:45 prior to the service at the funeral home and other times at the home.
