ELON — Helen Holt Foster, age 77, formerly of N.C. 87 North went home to be with the Lord onThursday, December 2, 2010 at Carolinas Medical Center-North East. She was a native of Person County and the wife of the late Lonzie “Jack” Edmond Foster Jr.
Helen retired from Lawrence Industries and was a member of New Hope Baptist Church. She enjoyed gardening, sewing and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her daughter, Dr. Sharon Hinson and her husband, Dr. Tony Hinson of Concord; sisters, Pattie “Peggy” H. Greeson of Whitsett and Lorene “Dena” H. Barber of Burlington; brother, Howard Glenn Holt of Burlington. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, Dock James Holt and Ruth Clayton Holt and three sisters and four brothers.
A graveside service will be held on Sunday, December 5, 2010 at 3 p.m. by Pastor Randy Hobbs at Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1:45 until 2:45 p.m. on Sunday at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory prior to the service.
