GRACE BREWER MOODY BURLINGTON - Mrs. Grace Brewer Moody, 62, of 5513 Pagetown Rd., died Tuesday, Oct. 13, 1998, at Duke University Medical Center, after a brief illness.

The funeral will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, Oct. 16, 1998, at Glencoe Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. Darrell Massey, Pastor of the church, assisted by the Rev. Felton Massey. Burial will be held in Alamance Memorial Park.She was born in Chatham County, to the late Wrenn Brewer and Esta Stout Brewer, who survives. She was retired from Lucent Technologies, a member of Glencoe Baptist Church, for 42 years, where she served as WMU Director, Sunday School Teacher, Vacation Bible School Director, Bicentenial Committee, Hospitality Committee and organizer of the History Rood of the church. She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America.


She is survived by her husband, Clyde Thomas Moody of the home; one daughter, Mrs. Larry (June) Long of Burlington; two sons, Ricky Moody and Ronnie Moody both of Burlington; mother, Mrs. Esta Stout Brewer of Siler City; three sisters, Mrs. Maxine Nunn of Snow Camp, Mrs. Faye Brooks of Siler City and Mrs. Sylvia Moore of Bear Creek; one brother, Claude Brewer of Allen, Texas; and five grandchildren.

Mrs. Moody will remain in Lowe Funeral Home until being taken to the church to lie in state 30 minutes prior to the funeral service. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 15, 1998, at the funeral home and at other times, at the residence.
