Obituary Online notes for Nathan McCray SIMPSON Sr.
Following is an obituary extract from the Greensboro News & Record (NC), dated May 11, 1996:

GIBSONVILLE - Mr. Nathan McCray Simpson, Sr., 71, of 417 Smith St., died Friday, May 10, 1996, at his home, after three months illness.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. Sunday, May 12, 1996, at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Dave Gilbert, pastor of Bethlehem Christian Church and the Rev. Rex Riches, pastor of Seventh-Day Adventist Church, Greensboro, officiating. Burial will be in Westminster Gardens.

A native of Alamance County, he was a son of the late Mr. Boyd Russell Simpson and the late Mrs. Margaret McCray Simpson. He was retired from The North Carolina Department of Agriculture as commodities distribution representative. He was a lifetime member of Bethlehem Christian Church. He helped organize and was a charter member of the Southern Caswell Ruritan, Whitsett Ruritan and Cherry Grove Ruritan Club, and was an active member of Whitsett Ruritan Club. He has a perfect attendance for 34 years with the Ruritan Club. He was an Air Force veteran of World War II, and was a Korea Bomber Pilot with Search and Rescue.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Susan Stanley Simpson of the home; daughter, Mrs. Larry (Sheryl) Madren t; son, Mr. Nathan McCray Simpson, Jr; three grandchildren; three sisters, Ms. Iris Workma, Ms. Betty Boone and Mrs. Peggie Foster; brother, Boyd Allen Simpson.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Mr. Mack Dwight Simpson. 470, Nathan McCray Simpson, Sr
