Marie Kennedy Slaughter
 

 
 ALAMANCE – Mrs. Marie Kennedy Slaughter, 81, of the Village of Alamance passed away at the Hospice Home on Monday, September 5, 2016 at 5:53 p.m.
 
 A native of Alamance County, she was the wife of the late William Allison “Bill” Slaughter, Sr. and the daughter of Bennie Kennedy and Ollie Maness Kennedy, both deceased.
 
 She was a homemaker and a lifelong member of Alamance Lutheran Church.
 
 Survivors include two daughters, Judi Albright and husband Buddy and Becky Whitesell and husband Terry, all of Graham; three sons, Bill Slaughter and wife Sandy of Goldston, Johnny Slaughter and wife Beth of Gibsonville and James “Jimmy” Slaughter and wife Lisa of Alamance; one daughterin-law, Martha Sink of Burlington; 28 grandchildren; and 20 greatgrandchildren.
 
 In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Donald “Don” Slaughter; two brothers; and three sisters.
 
 The funeral service will be conducted at Alamance Lutheran Church on Thursday, September 8, 2016 at 3 p.m. by Rev. Constance Garrett and Rev. Robert W. Hawkins.
 
 Burial will follow in Alamance Memorial Park.
 
 The family will receive friends at the Rich & Thompson Funeral and Cremation Service in Burlington on Wednesday, September 7, 2016 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
 
 Memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative of Alamance-Caswell, 914 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, NC 27215.
