BURLINGTON — Donald Eugene Slaughter, 50, of 2217 Dorsett St. passed away at Alamance Regional Medical Center Saturday June 19, 2010.
Mr. Slaughter was born September 13, 1959 in Alamance County to the late William Slaughter Sr. and Marie Kennedy Slaughter, who survives. Donald worked for the city of Mebane in the recreation department and he was a member of Alamance Lutheran Church.
Survivors include his wife, Martha E. Sink; a son, Daniel Slaughter; and a daughter, Lizzie Slaughter, all of the home; his mother, Marie K. Slaughter, of Alamance; three brothers, William Slaughter Jr., Johnny Slaughter, James Slaughter; and two sisters, Becky Whitesell and Judy Albright.
A memorial service will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 26, 2010 at Alamance Lutheran Church with the Rev. James Lockley. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Friday, June 25, 2010 at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory and at other times at the home.
Memorials can be made to the Alamance Lutheran Church, 4008 N.C. Hwy. 62, Alamance, N.C. 27201 or to your favorite charity.
