Peggy Wyrick Murphy Keegan


    GREENSBORO — Peggy Wyrick Murphy Keegan, 80, of 308 W. Meadowview Road, died Tuesday, December 29, 2009 at Moses Cone Memorial Hospital.
    A graveside service will be Thursday, December 31, 2009 at 2 p.m. at Lakeview Memorial Park.
    Peggy was born in Greensboro. She was of the Baptist faith, and was a retired employee of Sonoco Paper Products.
    She was preceded in death by her first husband of 48 years, Thomas A Murphy Sr., and by 11 siblings.
    She is survived by her husband, Clifford J. Keegan of Idaho; son, Thomas A. Murphy Jr. (Bonnie) of Greensboro; daughters, Libby Murphy Cobb (Randall) of Burlington; Chris Foust (Bill) of Denton; Lori McGilvery (Bobby) of Graham; stepson, Jim Keegan (Wanda) of Idaho; grandchildren, Jason Murphy (Jaime), Forrest Sizemore, Grant Sizemore (Jessica), Katie McGilvery, and Erin Cobb; great-grandchildren, Mason James Murphy, Everett Frazier Sizemore, stepgrandchildren, William Foust, and Andre and Sasha Keegan.
    The family will receive friends at Forbis and Dick NorthElmStreetFuneralHome tonight from 6 until 8 p.m.
    Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Greensboro, 2500 Summit Ave., Greensboro, N.C. 27405, or to the Alzheimer’s Association, Western Carolina Chapter, 3800 Shamrock Drive, Charlotte, N.C. 28215.
