GRAHAM — Annie Mae Sharpe Anthony, 78, of 807 East Hanover Road, died Monday, June 30, 2008 at the Hospice Home.
A native of Alamance County, she was the wife of Laird Carter Anthony, who survives, and the daughter of the late Paul Dewey and Alice Moore Sharpe. She was retired from the textile industry and was a member of Lowe Memorial Baptist Church.
Survivors other than her husband of the home include a daughter, Rebekah Lowry of Elon; a brother, Dewey Sharpe of Haw River; and a grandson, Christopher Kelly of Elon.
She was preceded in death by sisters, Dixie and Mary Lee; and brothers, Max, Mark and Tom.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the McClure Funeral Home Chapel in Graham by the Rev. Bill Gindlesperger. Burial will be in Graham Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends at McClure Funeral Home in Graham on Wednesday 30 minutes prior to the service, and at other times they will be at the residence.
Memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Alamance-Caswell, 914 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, N.C. 27215.
