    GIBSONVILLE — Lloyd Jack  Younger, 71, of 411 S. Joyner St., passed away suddenly Tuesday, December 4, 2007, at his residence.
    Mr. Younger was born February 23, 1936, in Guilford County, to the late General Jackson Younger and Vera Diamont Younger. He was a retired textile worker, a U. S. Navy veteran, and was of the Baptist faith.
    Survivors include a daughter, Tammy Lamm and her husband, Alvin, of Burlington; son, Rodney Younger and his life partner, Walt Roberts, of Burlington; two grandchildren, Candice Smith and her husband, Kevin, and Jamie Brannock and his wife, Jennifer; five great-grandchildren, Austin Smith, Ashlynne Smith, Megan Smith, Ryan Smith, and Jordan Brannock; two brothers, Floyd Younger of Gibsonville, and Jimmy Younger of Burlington; two sisters, Nellie McMillin of Greensboro, and Brenda Smith of Burlington; and former wife, Aleen Younger of Burlington.
    He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Katie Younger.
    The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, December 7, 2007, at the Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Brian Ayers. Interment will follow in the Gibsonville City Cemetery.
    Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory, and at other times the family will be at the residence.
    Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or to American Diabetes Association.
