 BURLINGTON — Mary Louisa Somers Farrell, 88, of 2823 Union Ridge Road, went to be with the Lord Monday, March 30, 2015, at Alamance Regional Medical Center following a period of declining health.
 
 She was born, in Caswell County, Sept. 27, 1926, to James E. and Pearl Smith Somers. She graduated from Bartlett-Yancey High School and worked at Alamance Hospital for 26 years. She was a founding member of Lakeview Community Church, Sunday school teacher and former member of Women’s Missionary Society.
 
 Funeral Services will be conducted Thursday, April 2, 2015, at 11 a.m. at Lakeview Community Church, 101 Boone Road, by the Rev. Gerald Sanders, Pastor and the Rev. Curtis Oakley. Interment will follow in Alamance Memorial Park.
 
 Survivors include daughter, Sandra F. Oliver of Burlington; son, Randy Farrell and wife Patsy of Burlington; two grandchildren, Amanda Blanks and husband Stanly, Clay Oliver and wife Kim; four greatgrandchildren, Justin and Daniel Blanks and Owen and Ben Oliver; and sisterin-law, Olean Somers.
 
 In addition to her parents, Lou was predeceased by one sister, Helen S. Walker; two brothers, Tommie Somers and Jim Jr. Somers; and son-in-law, Donald L. Oliver.
 
 The family will receive relatives and friends Wednesday, April 1, 2015, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lakeview Community Church and at other times at 2823 Union Ridge Road.
