Mr. Franklin Caldwell Burris, 89, went Home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ Thursday evening, January 20, 2022 at Moses Cone Hospital.
Funeral service will be held on Monday, January 24, 2022 at 6:00 pm at Shannon Hills Bible Chapel with Mark Shelley officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the church.
A private burial will take place in Guilford Memorial Park at a later date.
Franklin was born December 26, 1932 in Rowan County to the late Arnold Moses and Bertha Cauble Burris.
Frank was a proud graduate of UNC Chapel Hill in 1955. He was a member of Shannon Hills Bible Chapel for over 50 years and retired from Jefferson Pilot Life Insurance Company.
Survivors include the love of his life and wife for 64 years, Betty Jean Simpson Burris; his children, Sherri Odom and Keith Burris (wife Sherry); his grandchildren, Bradley Burris, Ashley Odom, Lindsey Odom, Hallie Burris, Heather Burris and Gracie Odom; and his sister Hazel Fritts (husband Gene).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Shannon Hills Bible Chapel, 900 W. Vandalia Road, Greensboro, NC 27406.
