Charlie was the son of Homer and Maude (Morton) Honeycutt. He married Harriette Ruth McClamrock.

Charlie J. Honeycutt, 70, of 5110 Watlington Road died Feb. 15, 1993, at Moses Cone Memorial Hospital.

Funeral will be at 3 p.m. Thursday at Lambeth-Troxler Funeral Home. Burial will be in Lakeview Memorial Park.

A native of Stanly County, he was owner of Charlie's Grill, a former employee of Western Southern Insurance and a World War II veteran.

Surviving are wife, Mrs. Harriette Honeycutt; daughters, Mrs. Peggy H. Hodgin of Gibsonville, Mrs. Rebecca H. Brown of Greensboro; sons, Wayne Honeycutt, Kenny Honeycutt, Mike Honeycutt, all of Greensboro, Ronnie Honeycutt of Pleasant Garden stepdaughter, Eloise Cable of Greensboro; stepsons, Banner Shoe, Billy Shoe, both of Greensboro; sisters, Mrs. Nadine Moose of Hertford, Mrs. Mary Jewel Whitley of Stanfield, Mrs. Mildred H. Haynes of Coinjock; brothers, Clayton Honeycutt of Locust, Bruce Honeycutt of Stanfield, nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.

The family will be at the funeral home 7-9 tonight, other times at the residence of a son, Mike Honeycutt, 5305 Bancroft Road.

Contributions may be made to Hospice at Greensboro, 2500 Summit Ave., Greensboro, N.C. 27405, or to Lake Jeanette Baptist Church, 4104 Church St. Extension, Greensboro, N.C. 27405.
