W. A. Rich
BURLINGTON — W.A. Rich, 92, formerly of 5706 N.C. 62 South, died Saturday, July 24, 2004, at Guilford Healthcare Center in Greensboro after several years of declining health, two weeks critical.
A native of Alamance County, he was the husband of the late Margaret Keck Rich, and the son of the late William Alex Rich and the late Lorena Williamson Rich Solomon. He was a retired employee of Kayser Roth and was formerly employed after retirement with Pinkerton Security and Battle Ground Wrecker. He was a member of Low’s Lutheran Church, where he was the oldest living member.
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Janet R. Linens, Mrs. Bernice Sharpe and her husband, Bobby, and Mrs. Frankie Beeker and her husband, Marvin, all of Burlington; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and four great-greatgrandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Rich and Thompson Chapel in Burlington, by the Rev. Bennie Smith. Burial will be in Low’s Lutheran Church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 this evening at Rich and Thompson Mortuary in Burlington, and at other times the daughters will be at their respective homes.
