BURLINGTON — Mrs. Dorothy Hill Overman, 83, died suddenly at her residence Monday night, Jan. 5, 2015.
A native of Guilford County, she was the wife of the late Bobby Herbert Overman and the daughter of Worth E. Hill and Elizabeth Kelly Hill, both deceased. She retired with 43 years of service at Carolina-Koury Hosiery. She was a member of Bible Baptist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Tina Norris of Burlington; three grandchildren, Brandon Norris, Matthew Tuck and Amanda Tuck, all of Burlington; two great-grandchildren; sister, Sadie Phillips of Salisbury; brother, Phillip L. Hill of Burlington; special daughter-in-law, Brenda Hudson; and several nephews.
She was preceded in death by her son, Tony Tuck.
The funeral service will be conducted in the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Burlington on Friday, Jan. 9, 2015, at 1:30 p.m. by Dr. J. Mark Aheron with the family receiving friends from 1 to 1:30 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will follow in Alamance Memorial Park. At other times the family will be at the residence of the daughter, Tina Norris, 2020 Sunnybrook Drive, Burlington, N.C.
