Mr. Otis Anderson Kernodle 


    GREENSBORO — Mr. Otis Anderson Kernodle , 80, of Greensboro, died Wednesday, January 23, 2008, at Moses Cone Hospital.
    Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, January 25, 2008, at Apple’s Chapel Christian Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
    Mr. Kernodle  was born on August 22, 1927, in Guilford County, N.C., to the late Henry A. and Mary Frances Ingold Kernodle . He was also preceded in death by five brothers; and four sisters. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and retired from the Trans-America Corporation offices in Winston-Salem. He was a member of Apple’s Chapel Christian Church. Mr. Kernodle  enjoyed traveling with his wife, fishing and gardening.
    He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Dorothy Andrews Kernodle ; a sister, Lynette Robertson of Greensboro; several nieces and nephews.
    The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, January 24, 2008, at Forbis & Dick North Elm Street. Online condolences may be offered at www.forbisanddick.com.
