Dorothy Louise Andrews Kernodle, 88, passed into the presence of her Lord early Thursday morning February 15, 2018 at the Oaks of Alamance in Elon, NC.
A funeral service was held Sunday, February 18, 2018 at 3:00 PM at Apple’s Chapel Christian Church with Rev. Dave Johnson and Rev. Allen Myers officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
Dot was born July 7, 1929 in Guilford County to the late Wesley Mabren Andrews and Roxie Ann Smith. She was a faithful wife to her late husband, Otis Kernodle. After many years of service, Dot retired from Bank of America. Dot was a loving person that always cared for the needs of others.
Along with her parents, Dot was preceded in death by her husband, Otis Kernodle; brother: Ervin Andrews; sisters: Essie Ingold, Iola Green, Hazeline Moore and Leola Minor.
She is survived by her nephews: Bobby Green, Dean Green and wife, Marilyn and Tony Andrews and wife, Beth; nieces: Judy Hardin and Betty Lou Gerringer, Brenda Scarborough, and Carolyn Simpson and husband Lee, Frances Stevens and husband Jerry, and Peggy Rich and husband, Gordon.
