Mr. Will Michael of Lexington Dies from an Accident Received in a Chair Factory
Mr. Will Michael, son of Mr. and Mrs. D. M. Michael of Lexington, died yesterday from injuries received from a machine in the Cramer Chair Factory at Thomasville last Friday evening at 2 o'clock. Mr. Michael was at work at a shaping machine, and had two chair bottoms running them through the machine when the bitts struck a knot in the chair bottoms, throwing them back with terrific force against Mr. Michael's abdomen. Mr. Michael was carried to the home of Mrs. Murphy and his parents and relatives in Lexington summoned. He lived until yesterday at 1 o'clock. The body was brought to Lexington last night and will be interred in Ebenezer grave-yard today at 11 o'clock. Rev Arnold will conduct the funeral services. Mr. Michael was 23 years and 4 days of age, and was a most estimable young man. His grief stricken parents have the sympathy of the entire town and community.
