She was a member of the Gideon Ladies Auxiliary when her husband was alive and worked as a volunteer at ARMC for a short time.

She is survived by two sons, Mike Thompson and wife Carol of Gibsonville and the Rev. Ozzie Thompson and wife Barbara of Burlington; four grandchildren, Crystal Cole and husband Tommy, Jeff Thompson, Wendy Ross and David Ross; eight great-grandchildren; and two sisters-in-law, Linda Thompson and Eleanor Thompson. She was predeceased by one sister, Vurla Thompson and two brothers-in-law, Albert Thompson and Edmund Thompson.
The funeral will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Graham by the Rev. Bob Stephenson and Rev. Ozzie Thompson with the family receiving friends from 9:45 until 10:45 a.m. prior to the service. Interment will follow at the Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery in Snow Camp. Other times the family will be at the homes of Mike Thompson and Rev. Ozzie Thompson.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Riverside Baptist Church, 1568 East Harden St., Graham, N. C. 27253.
