Annie Dare Isley Aiken
BURLINGTON – Mrs. Annie Dare Isley Aiken, 86, of Burlington passed away at the Hospice Home on Saturday, August 27, 2016 at 10 p.m.
A native of Alamance County, Annie was the wife of the late Paul Reece Aiken and the daughter of Eusebieous Luther Isley and Dora Boggs Isley, both deceased.
Annie retired from MCR, Inc. She was a member of Mt. Hermon United Methodist Church where she was a former youth leader. She was also a member of the United Methodist Women.
Survivors include a son, Jimmy Wells and wife Ann of Snow Camp; five grandchildren, Christy Dunkley and husband Danny of Roxboro, Kimberly McVey and husband Kevin of Burlington, Michael Wells, Spencer Wells and Cheyann Wells, all of Snow Camp; two great grandchildren, Daniel Dunkley and Logan Dunkley, both of Roxboro; one sister, Mary Belle Moore of Burlington and one daughter-in-law, Joy Ferguson of Burlington.
Other than her husband and parents, Annie was preceded in death by two sisters, Lucille Crabtree and Doris Long and two brothers, J. L. Isley and William H. Isley.
A funeral service will be conducted at the Mt. Hermon United Methodist Church on Tuesday, August 30, 2016 at 11 a.m.by Rev. Jane Almon.
Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the Rich & Thompson Funeral Home & Crematory in Graham on Monday, August 29, 2016 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Other times the family will be at the residence of her son, Jimmy Wells, at 6613 Bass Mountain Rd., Snow Camp, NC 27349.
