Paul  Reece Aiken 


    BURLINGTON — Paul  Reece Aiken , 80, of 5364 Mt. Hermon-Rock Creek Road, died Saturday, Aug. 11, 2007, at Healthcare & Rehab of Alamance.
    A native of Worthville, he was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a member of Mt. Hermon United Methodist Church where he was involved in a lot of church work in the past.
    He is survived by his wife, Annie Dare Isley Aiken  of the home; two sons, Jimmy Wells of Snow Camp and Gary Medlin of Lillington; a brother, James Aiken  and his wife Linda of Haw River; five sisters, Eula Aiken  and Helen Thompson of Graham, Geneva Collins of Saxapahaw, Joyce Bradshaw of Chapel Hill and Nancy Camden of Charlotte; four grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
    He was preceded in death by his parents, Guy Lawson and Mamie Russell Aiken ; a sister, Gloria Pugh; and a brother, John Aiken .
    The funeral will be conducted by the Rev. Rob Shelton at 2 p.m. Monday at Mt. Hermon United Methodist Church.
    Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
    The family will receive friends at McClure Funeral Home in Graham from 6 to 8 this evening and other times at the residence.
