William Henry Isley
YANCEYVILLE — Mr. William Henry Isley, 89, of Brian Center Health and Rehabilitation, died at Danville Regional Medical Center on Monday, Nov. 11, 2013.
A native of Alamance County, he was the husband of the late Ruby Lee Atkinson Isley and the son of Eusebious Luther Isley and Dora Boggs Isley, both deceased.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving during World War II, and a retired car salesman with Burlington Lincoln Mercury.
Survivors include two grandsons, Michael Lee Isley and wife LuAnn and Bryan Alexander Isley and wife Ginny; fi ve grandchildren, Carter, Lauren, Britton, Bryan II and Maryn; daughter-in-law, Nancy Vaughn Isley; sisters, Mary Belle Moore and Annie Dare Aiken; and special friend, Hazeline Thomas.
He was preceded in death by a son, William Lee Isley; two sisters, Lucille Crabtree and Doris Long; and brother , J. L. Isley.
A graveside service will be conducted in Pine Hill Cemetery on Thursday, Nov. 14, 2013, at 11 a.m. by the Rev. Peter Thompson.
In lieu of fl owers, memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Alamance-Caswell, 918 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, NC 27215.
