GIBSONVILLE - Mr. William Lee "Bill" Isley, 62, of 412 Brown Bark Lane, Gibsonville died at his residence on Tuesday, September 8, 2009 at 3:25 a.m. after a courageous battle with cancer. A native of Alamance County, he was the husband of 43 years to Nancy Vaughn Isley, who survives. He was the son of William Henry Isley, who survives and the late Ruby Atkinson Isley. Bill was a retired Executive Vice-President of Government Sales at Ecolab. He was a member of St. Mark's Church and the Wings to Recovery Support Group. In addition to his wife of the home and father of Burlington, survivors include two sons, Lee Isley and wife LuAnn Isley of Burlington and Bryan Alexander Isley and wife Virginia Altizer "Ginny" Isley of Burlington; and four grandchildren, Carter Isley, Lauren Isley, Virginia Britton Isley and Bryan Alexander Isley II. The funeral service will be conducted at St. Mark's Church on Thursday, September 10, 2009 at 3 p.m. by the Rev. Ben Bishop. Burial will follow at Pine Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Rich & Thompson Funeral and Cremation Service in Burlington on Wednesday from 6 until 8 p.m. At other times they will be at the residence. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alamance Cancer Center, 1236 Huffman Mill Road, #120, Burlington, N.C. 27215 or to Hospice and Palliative Care of Alamance-Caswell, 914 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, N.C. 27215.
