MEBANE — Morris Clifton Fox, 78, of 306 Wilba Road, died Friday, July 2, 2010, at Brian Center of Yanceyville.
Morris was a native of Person County,NC.Hewasretired from White Furniture Company with 38 years service. He was a member of Eastside Baptist Church where he was a member of the Adult Sunday School Class, the church choir and served as a trustee of the church.
He is survived by his wife, Jean Rice Fox, of the home; sons, Clifton Fox and wife Elaine of Graham, Randal Fox and wife Anna of Mebane, and Douglas Fox and wife Barbara of Burlington; daughter, Luanne Fox Payne and husband Johnny of Mebane; seven grandchildren, Brad Fox and wife Courtney, Lindsay Fox, Caitlin Fox, Landon Payne, Caleb Fox, Ethan Fox, and Jacob Payne; two step-grandchildren, Robbie Gentry and Cedar Glasgow and husband Troy; step-great-grandchild, Lorene Gentry; sister, Hazel Bowes of Roxboro; and many loving nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Monroe and Lula Bowes Fox; brothers, Gene Fox, Clem Fox and Flint Fox; and sisters, Elebet Fox Gentry, Mabel Fox Parker, Esther Fox Long and Hallie Fox Gentry.
The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 6, 2010, at 2 p.m. at Eastside Baptist Church with Pastor Chuck Perkins officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at McClure Funeral Home in Mebane from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday evening. Other times they will be at the residence.
The family would like to give a special thank you to the staff at Brian Center of Yanceyville and the Community Home Care and Hospice for their compassion and care of Morris during his illness.
