Peggie Dare Hedrick Wilson

Peggie Dare Hedrick Wilson passed away on Sunday, November 1, 2015, at Liberty Commons. She was born in Lexington, NC and followed her husband to many locations due to his job as a plant manager before finally setting down roots in Alamance County. She spent her last months at Liberty Commons due to her decline in health. Prior to her time there she enjoyed her life on the family farm in Snow Camp. Seeing the cows grazing in nearby pastures was a favorite pastime as well as spending time with her family.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Forest and Alice Hedrick; husband Donald Terry Wilson; brother Bob Hedrick and sisters Jean Rowe and Anna Clark.

She lived her adult life working at Kayser-Roth, Tower Hosiery and lastly at Sweaters USA. After retiring she and her husband traveled across the United States in their Winnebago and enjoyed the many western towns they visited along with the many historical sites they saw.

Leaving to cherish her in memories are her daughters Teena Faucette (Steve) and Angie Payne (Jimmy); grandchildren Steven Faucette (Ashley), Brandon Faucette (Megan), JD Payne and Jessica Payne (fiancé Justin Murray); great-grandchildren Skylar Faucette, Adrian Skie and Mason Faucette.

Her service will be held on Wednesday, November

4, 2015, at 2 p.m. at Rock Creek UMC and officiated by Richard Booker, Pastor. The burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, November 3, 2015, at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory and other times at the home of Teena and Steve Faucette.

The family wishes to thank the sitters who spent time with her at her home prior to being moved to Liberty Commons, the caring staff at Liberty Commons and the Hospice staff that provided support for the family and care for her in her final days; also to the numerous friends and co-workers that the family leaned on during this time. Sometimes a hug or kind words were what we needed. Bless you!

In lieu of flowers, please donate to Juvenile Diabetes and Alzheimer’s Disease.
