Mrs. Naomi Satterfield Matkins
ELON — Mrs. Naomi Satterfield Matkins , age 79, of 2155 Gerringer Mill Road, passed away at 2:50 a.m. Thursday, March 8, 2007, at Alamance Regional Medical Center.
A native of Alamance County, she was wife of Clyde C. Matkins , and daughter of the late William Arthur and Callie Mae Smithey Satterfield . She was a homemaker, and a member of Glen Raven Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Clyde C. Matkins of the home; daughter, Pamella May of Burlington; sons, Dennis Matkins and wife, Gloria, of Burlington, Anthony Matkins and wife, Jennie, of Gibsonville, and Kennon Matkins and wife, Gwen, of Burlington; six grandchildren, Teresa Cobb and husband, Jamie, Chris Matkins , Cody Matkins , Scott Matkins , Ben Matkins and Lindsey Matkins ; two great-grandchildren, J.T. Cobb III and Jacob Cobb; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Cobb of Burlington and Mrs. Lela Johnson of McLeansville.
She was preceded in death by her son, Curtis Matkins ; and a sister, Juanita Baldwin.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, March 10, 2007, at the Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Tim Satterfield and the Rev. Darrell Massey. Mrs. Matkins will remain at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory through the funeral services. Interment will follow at Alamance Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 this evening, and at other times at the residence.
